08 May Meet the Honorees of the BBJ’s 2018 Tech 10 awards Posted at 09:56h in AllegisCyber Capital News, The Latest by AllegisCap 0 Comments 0 Likes Share Baltimore Business Journal | By Jess Iannetta | May 4, 2018 The Baltimore Business Journal has selected a group of men and women from all areas of the region’s tech space to receive our 2018 Tech 10 awards. The award honors 10 area professionals working to put Greater Baltimore’s technology industry on the map by making noteworthy contributions to the community. This year, we’ve chosen 11 honorees, as we’re counting the co-founders of one company as a single entry. The men and women featured in the above slideshow have broken new ground in areas like education technology and cybersecurity and helped others do so by leading incubators and accelerators. They were selected after a months-long nomination process during which community members could submit a local individual for consideration. The BBJ staff met to discuss the nominees, and brought their own suggestions to the table as well, to come up with our 11 honorees. We will feature the honorees in the June 29 issue of the BBJ, and all are invited to join us at a celebratory event on June 28 where Gula Tech Adventures CEO Ron Gula, who is also the co-founder and former CEO of Tenco and former CEO of Tenable Network Security, will be the keynote speaker. Amit Yoran is CEO of Tenable. Ellison Anne Williams is CEO of Enveil. Doug Ward is the CEO of Personal Genome Diagnostics. Deborah Tillett is president of Emerging Technology Centers. Danny Rogers is CEO of Terbium Labs Inc. Todd Marks is the CEO of Mindgrub Technologies LLC. Mike Janke is the co-founder of DataTribe and is being honored along with Bob Ackerman. Bob Ackerman is the founder and managing director of AllegisCyber and is being honored along with Mike Janke. Jess Gartner is the CEO and founder of Allovue. Jeffrey Cherry is the executive director of Conscious Venture Lab. Pete Buzy is CEO of Paragon Bioservices.
